While it may seem like there is not a lot of skill to play Rock Paper Scissors, there is indeed a good amount of strategy involved. While it may seem like you are throwing out random choices of the three options, you are never playing against a truly random opponent (unless you are playing against a robot, then good luck to you) as all players weather knowing it or not are non-random. A simple strategy is by using the opponent’s previous move, predicting their next move, but that takes a lot of psychology and this is about Rock Paper Scissors. A simpler but more chaotic tactic would be to announce what you are going to throw before you throw it and get your opponent worked up on whether you are telling the truth or not. Another strategy that requires quick reflexes is to watch the opponents fist as it starts out in the “rock” position. Then by judging how much their hand moves to throw out the winning choice, but you need to be very quick to achieve this feat.
